Another new favorite blog of mine is Valet Mag. While targeted at a male audience, I would have to say that this blog is great for both sexes. For starters, I really dig their design. Nothing draws me into a blog like a crisp, sexy layout, and on that front Valet certainly delivers. I almost feel bad subscribing to it by RSS because I love visiting the website so much.

I just discovered the KinoWear blog, which I think is a great resource for men seeking fashion advice. I love the tag line “make her look twice,” it describes the blog well. KinoWear is an image consulting agency targeted at men intersted in revamping their style, fashion, grooming and image. So, you can think of the KinoWear blog as sampling of their services OR free expert advice. The blog is fairly fashion/style heavy with a smattering of advice on self-improvement and lifestyle tips. I’ve always wondered what the difference was between a Half Windsor and a Double Windsor knot. I know that the tying process is totally different, but how different is the result? Gentlemen Joe has a great set of necktie tutorials, complete with pictures of the finished products. Personally, I am a fan of the Pratt Tie Knot, which I had never even heard of before researching this article!

One consideration in choosing a tuxedo is what shape lapel is most fashionable and suitable to your frame. The shawl collar lapel is somewhat old-fashion, but still a classic. This style is a good choice for a man who wants something a little different, but still traditional. The peak lapel and notch lapel are far more common.
